这项研究中，研究人员将易于肥胖的年轻大鼠分为三组来研究锻炼对大鼠机体代谢功能及脂肪组织的影响，这三组大鼠被喂以高脂肪饮食，其中研究者让两组大鼠静坐，而第三组大鼠则通过在转轮上跑步来锻炼；在两组静坐的大鼠中，其中一组被喂以它们想得到的高脂肪食物，而另一组大鼠则仅被喂以可控制部分的食物来匹配锻炼所引发的体重减少，另外一组锻炼的大鼠被喂以它们所想得到的高脂肪食物。

通过设立“围棋日”来推动围棋事业发展的倡议，引起了天台县委县政府的重视。2015年岁末，天台县人大常委会审议通过每年5月25日为“天台山围棋日”的方案，国内首个“围棋日”从此诞生。
